Is Rediff Q&A a Social site for making friends or a place for gaining Knowledge through interaction?
People join this site for variety of reason. Only few join this forum to gain knowledge. Most of them are fun seekers. For example some come here to find a girl friend; some come here to have some innocent fun; and of course some come here to vex and harass others. My observation is 99 percent people here are asking frivolous and meaningless question. Sadly, those who had initially joined to gain knowledge too begin to answer such questions for the sake of gaining points. I do not blame them. Ever since management has decided not to give points for asking questions, there are few good questions. Once people join gaining points then to rise up the ladder of HOF becomes their main aim. You make friends during the course of interaction. If they come across someone with common interests they become friends. I have drawn a conclusion that Rediff QnA is a place to while away your time, the time you have nothing else to do. For making friends there are several other sites. If …
