IS REFLEX UV STABLE?
The short answer is yes, Reflex is UV stable, but the question does not address the true concern regarding the retention of the original appearance. Many truck liner groups claim UV stability and yet look terrible less than 1 year later. UV stability only means that the material won’t fail due to exposure to sunlight. It’s really something that needs better interpretation. Color stability and resistance to premature oxidation of the surface are the 2 most important issues from the standpoint of how a truck liner looks 2 years down the road. Reflex is 100% polyurethane formulated from a group of polyols and iso’s that perform well as cured urethane material exposed to intense direct sunlight. Our primary concern is that a Reflex truck liner looks as close to original condition on its second birthday.
