Is regular attendance at Friday night services expected?

0

No, although we have a number of congregants who are regular attendees. Again, different from some worship communities, Jews do not usually attend services every Friday evening or Saturday morning. It would be wonderful if we did. All we ask is that Temple worship is part of your weekly calendar – that you make a decision whether to attend services in a given week. It is more important to observe Judaism in your home – to mark Shabbat. You will see most of the congregation for the High HolyDays and a good deal of families for holidays such as Simchat Torah, Purim, or even our annual Teachers’ Shabbat.
