Is salmon-fish high in mercury?
Most fish contain mercury, but salmon isn’t too high in it. The worst are the big ones that eat other fish. Like shark and swordfish. Tuna is higher than salmon. Different species of tuna are higher than others- some of the ones you get grilled or raw (as sushi) at restaurants have more than the canned stuff. Here’s the FDA’s list http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~frf/sea-mehg.h… You would have to eat a lot of fish to have any real impact on you if you’re an adult. Kids, pregnant women, and women who may become pregnant in the near future have to watch out. Edit: I just looked over that list more carefully. The LOWEST levels of mercury are found in Tilapia, Hake, Oysters, and Salmon.
