Well of course not. How can “sharing” and “stealing” be the same thing? Thats one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard! However — sharing without permission is copyright infringement and therefore is currently illegal. The RIAA and MPAA claim it is stealing — but seeing as they are WRONG lets take a closer look at what “copyright infringement” actually is. It simply means — to perform an unauthorized action using something which does not belong to you. If someone walked into your room and took a piss on the floor — they did not steal your floor. They did however use your floor in a way which you feel is unnacceptable. You have the right to feel that it was an unacceptable use of your floor. You have the right to tell that person they are not welcome in your home ever again. If they ever try to enter your home against your will — this is called tresspassing and you can have them arrested for having done so. Intellectual property is much like your floor.
