Yes and no. It’s kind of a parody of the McDonald’s arch, representing the commercial instinct and consumism of the 90’s. But it’s not the real McDonald’s arch! The real thing is a “M”, and PopMart’s is only half of it. Bono has said, “Luckily for us McDonald’s has not copyrighted the parabolic arch” or something like that.
