Is the application process different for out-of-state applicants?

Out-of-state applicants may have to travel twice to our location for their Deputy Sheriff process. The initial trip will include a polygraph examination and jail tour. The second trip will include the rest of the process. After successfully passing all the steps, the applicant will be recommended for hiring if they appear to be a viable candidate. Applicants that live in this area may have several appointments spread over time. Both out-of-state and nearby applicants go through the same process and the same steps in the process.
