The BASI test was normed in the 2002-2003 academic school year and norms were matched to 2000 U.S. Census demographics in terms of race/ethnicity, gender, age, socio-economic status (SES), and geographic region. The BASI test was developed based on requests for a brief, yet comprehensive test that can be used for pre- and post-testing.
