Is the Bible trustworthy?

To be able to trust the words of the bible it is first essential to define which bible you are reading. There have been so many bibles. Many variations are due to being in different languages, but there are also quite a lot which have different versions of the same gospel in the same language! Most Christians who respond to this type of question are used to reading the bible in English, but there wasn’t an English bible until the time of King James 1 – early 17th century. Since then there have been several reviews of what the bible is supposed to say, but what I read is no more than a watering down of what was once said, and then a new review alters the emphasis again, until eventually you have an English version that is different to that given in the King James version.
