Is the Canon EOS 40D a good professional camera?
On One Hand: It is a Great Camera.With the release of the Canon EOS 40D, Canon moved to using a 10.1 megapixel sensor on its D-series cameras, bringing the sensors up to parity with competitors. In addition, Canon added a 3-inch LCD screen and larger viewfinder than previous models. The DIGIC III image processor renders better color than previous D-series cameras; the ISO is 100-800, and usable at 13 x 19 inches. The most impressive addition to the 40D is a 6.5 frame-per-second continuous mode.On the Other: Consider Your Needs.The Canon 40D is larger than most of its competitors, and has a reduced battery capacity in comparison. The camera is partially weather-sealed, but not completely trustworthy in rain or other adverse conditions such as the Canon 1-Series cameras.
