CBIs workload is increasing every year, in terms of cases and complexities of the crime. Today, we have 105 vacancies in the rank of Deputy SPs which forms the core group of investigators. Similarly, in the rank of Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors there are 95 and 88 vacancies respectively. We have 155 prosecutors against the sanctioned strength of 230.
