Is the Clemson University exclusive only for girls?
Students at Clemson enjoy going to school with each other. As well as having a lot of “eye candy,” the student body is very hospitable and friendly. Southern “gents” and “belles” are the norm, and the students here take pride in their appearances. Although some say there is a certain degree of superficiality, it certainly isn’t enough to detract from their enthusiastic opinion of the guys and girls at Clemson. Clemson students are very happy with the appearance of their student body and rightfully so. Clemson has a good mix of southerners and northerners, and it’s encouraging how well everyone gets along. It is even rumored that once the weather gets warm in March, class attendance for males seems to reach an unusual high. The Girls Circle is a model of structured support groups for girls ages 9 to 18. It is designed to foster self-esteem, help girls maintain authentic connection with peers and adult women in their community, counter trends toward self-doubt, and allow for genuine self-expression through verbal sharing and creative activity. A Girls Circle: * Integrates relational theory, resiliency practices and skill building, utilizing a strengths-based approach * Increases protective factors, pro-social behaviors, connection, personal skills and strengths, and competence in girls * Is recognized as a promising approach in the Model Programs Guide by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention * Is utilized nationwide in a broad spectrum of settings with diverse populations since 1994, such as schools, juvenile justice, peer leadership, health education, outdoor adventure, positive youth development, athletics, pregnancy prevention, boys and girls clubs, scouting groups, gang prevention
Clemson offers club, intramural, and varsity sports. The University’s 19 varsity men and women’s sports teams compete in the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference of the NCAA’s Division I as the Clemson Tigers. The most prominent athletics facilities on campus are Memorial Stadium, Littlejohn Coliseum, Doug Kingsmore Stadium, Historic Riggs Field, and Fike Recreation Center. Two dollar bills This tradition began when Clemson played Georgia Tech “for the last time” as Tech refused to travel to Clemson. Of the seventeen games played between Tech and Clemson between 1953 and 1977, only once, in 1974, did the Yellow Jackets deign to come to Death Valley. To show the Atlanta business community how much money Clemson fans contributed to the local economy which would not be coming to town anymore, Tiger fans spent vast quantities of two dollar bills, many of them stamped with Tiger Paws.
