Is The Cockpit Size Sufficient?
Aft cabin cockpits are smaller than the equivalent monohulls. However, the more stable multihull does not need all the crew sitting out on the windward side, to reduce excessive heel and to keep the boat under control. In actual practice the crew of a trimaran can sit anywhere on the huge deck area, including the leeward side and quite often the helmsman will be left on his own in the cockpit. Catamaran cockpit areas are huge in comparison.
