Is the compressive strength of the CIDH pile concrete 3,500 psi?
See “General Notes” (sheet 2/33) where fc of all reinforced concrete is required to be 3600 psi. Also see Section 10-1.25B(1), second paragraph, page SP-88 of the Special Provisions, where the minimum amount of cementitious materials is specified for concrete deposited under slurry. 9. Answer: Extra work at force account is the most probable method of payment for removing H-piles that infringe on the planned pile construction. 10.
