Q I want to ask you a vegan cheese question. At the Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne there’s a shop that sells what they describe as ‘dairy-free’ cheese. I asked them if it was dairy-free, then what is it made of, and they reckon it’s made from endives! Bought some, took it home, fed it to my vegan flatmate who is certain it’s got milk in it. Now either they’re onto a really convincing substitute or there’s milk in it, do you have any insight on it?
