Is the EAA doing anything official to change the expiration date of E-LSA aircraft in January 2010? And is there something I can do as a WSC sport pilot and EAA member?

I am a Weight Shift sport pilot and understand that the majority of WSC instructors use E-LSA to instruct. They all comply with the 100 hour inspection but after January 2010 they will have to stop using their aircraft. This seems completely counter-productive to the continued growth of sport pilot, especially in the smaller groups of WSC and PP aircraft. Many of these instructors will not be able to afford a much more expensive aircraft to instruct. They will simply quit teaching. Terrible shame. If this comes to pass, it seems once again only Big Bucks can play. Again, completely 180 degrees to the idea behind Sport Pilot.
