Is the famed Island Green, par-three 17th at Sawgrass a great hole, or overrated?
I lean toward overrated. I thought the world of it when I played PGA Tour III on Sega Genesis, but the reality is you need a ton of wind to make it really difficult. The hole measures about 135 yards, the green is pretty large, so it should be nine-iron, tops. 3.) What happened to your boy Ryan Moore? Surgery on his left hand. No Players Championship, no Masters. 4.) Did you have a problem with Sam Saunders getting an invite to the Bay Hill Invitational? Not really. People shout nepotism because Saunders is Arnold Palmer’s grandson and Palmer is the Bay Hill Invitational. Wouldn’t you expect your grandfather to give you a spot if he ran a tournament? I know mine would have. Plus, Saunders won the club championship at Bay Hill by 17. Why didn’t anyone throw a snit when Mike Hulbert was given a spot? He hasn’t been competitive in years. Grandfather does something nice for his grandson. Shouldn’t be shocking, nor should it be criticized. 5.) Who wins at Sawgrass? I’m going with Padraig Ha
