The current recommended cluster density of HiSeq flow cells is significantly lower than what is required to obtain 50G output from the Genome Analyzer. At this low density, the HiSeq 2000 provides approximately 200G of quality filtered data. Illumina continues to optimize the HiSeq system to achieve maximum density and output.
