Is the Hiv oral swab test as accurate as the hiv blood test?

The OraSure test is 99% accurate. (I use this to test clients.) The OraQuick test (a rapid test) is also very accurate. Whenever there is a positive result on one of these antibody swab tests, the result is confirmed by blood test, testing for the virus itself. HIV antibodies usually can be detected in tests within 3 months of exposure, but in extremely rare cases, it can take 6 months for the antibodies to show up in tests.
