I make no apologies for supporting the Labour Party. They are fundamentally a Democratic Socialist party. The word Socialist to an American conjures up only one thought – Communism – and Soviet Russian style politics, which is completely wrong and totally misguided. The British Labour Party stands for a very honorouble principle and this has been the case since it’s formation. That principle is ‘To provide EQUAL OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL, NOT JUST A PRIVELEGED FEW’. The Conservative Party view things totally opposite and love to offer opportunity to the wealthy and the upper classes whilst denying them to the ordinary hard working people of this country. A good example is University placements. If you are rich and wealthy, regardless of your ABILITY, you can pay for a University place and be guaranteed it if you are from a famous background.
