Is the Meningitis vaccine required for school-aged children?

0

A Tennessee state law requires the Department of Education to inform parents on a yearly basis concerning the risks of meningococcal disease, however a meningitis vaccine is NOT required for any school-aged child at this time. Meningitis vaccine is a recommended immunization for children 11 to 12 years of age. Talk with your child’s doctor at his/her next visit if you have any further questions.
