Is the Panasonic Lumix DMC FS7 digital camera good?
The Panasonic FS7 and TZ7 are actually completely different models of camera, in completely different price ranges. The FS7, which is the camera you have asked about, is a compact camera, with 4x Optical Zoom and a 10.1 mp sensor. It has an intelligent auto feature, as well as an enormous range of shooting modes. I am normally an SLR user, but needed a small “snappy” camera I could slip into my purse. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the FS7. The skin tone reproduction is far better than most compact digitals in its price range, and the option to set a maximum ISO highly beneficial when trying to avoid excessive noise. In broad daylight it struggles occasionally with blown out skies – but this is going to be the case with pretty much any camera which does not provide any manual control of exposure aside from exposure compensation.
