Is the point that America Ferrera is somehow a step down in terms of celebrity from Jerry?
I assume that this is meant to make fun of Ferrera and I am puzzled by this. It’s not as if Obama (the guy I supported) was exactly devoid of celebrity support (both lame and not-so-lame) and it’s not as if it’s a bad thing for Hillary to try and use a youthful star, albeit one who may not exactly be a household name at this time, to try and get some support. I just don’t understand what Amerca Ferrera did to deserve any ridicule. If there is some tie-in between Jerry Lewis and the Clinton campaign, I am unaware of it, so I apologize in advance if that is the case. But unless there is an actual reason to make the comparison, I can’t understand why you’d make fun of her for trying to help her favored candidate. And in addition to being an Obama supporter, I have never watched a single minute of “Ugly Betty” so it’s not as if I am rushing to the defense of my favorite telenovela star.
