Is the reduction in the numbers of nuclear weapons a good or bad thing?

People seem to be missing the finer small print in this story it seems. One big issue is that the US would now be able to overfly Russian airspace enabling resupply of it’s forces much more effectively and cheaply than it has been able to in the past. Another issue is of course that Russia does not want a Polish and Czech anti nuclear defence shield to be created, and that could possibly put the dampers on a British shield ‘maybe’. I am also very sceptical about what they actually constitute as a ‘warhead’, and whether they actually mean an actual missile. Modern nukes such as Britain and America’s Trident II have up to 12 nuclear warheads fitted to one missile though the Royal Navy Trident has 3, but each warhead is released onto the supposed target with pinpoint accuracy. I think generally that a reduction in the nuclear armoury is a good thing depending on what is given up in return, but in any case, between them, the USA and Russia could still destroy the entire planet many times o
