I think so. I have met Salvation Army volunteers and they are usually Republicans. My sister is a big time Democrat atheist-leaning-agnostic though and she volunteers there some times. Their name SALVATION is a clue as to their conversion mission that should tell you yes they are right wing Christians. Left wingers who claim Christianity don't practice it as the bible says because we are supposed to actively spread it not remain quiet and try to keep it to ourselves timidly trying not to offend or annoy. The Bible is VERY VERY clear on this point. They are the right wing form of welfare. We believe welfare should not be forcibly removed from us by the government because this "tax" as they call it is nothing more than stealing. Our donations to the poor are at our option and God will judge us individually on this matter. He will also judge the greedy banker controlled government who pretends to care by giving little handouts to the poor while pocketing most of what we are forced to ...  more
