That's confusing... I see everywhere people stating the legal age for selling and buying cigarettes is 16; but actually somebiody else state is 14. The difference is: who claim it's 14 clearly state the source: "Regio decreto 24 dicembre 1934 n.2816". The people who says 16 (including tobacconists and parents association) never state which is the law... I saw that Regio Decreto and also what courts said about cigarettes vending machine in 1978 and in the 90s: in both circumstances, stating they're legal, they also say again the limit for selling is 14... Anyway, in both cases the limit is for buying, not for smoking. I suppose I'm going to ask to a consumers association... Still, smoking is bad. EDIT: About the new law, it was proposed but not approved.  more
