Yes. SOAR is a REQUIREMENT for all freshmen students and highly RECOMMENDED for transfer students. In addition to meeting other new and current students, SIUC faculty and staff, and representatives from the City of Carbondale, you will also have the opportunity to advise and register for classes at SOAR.
