Is the swimming pool open in jones beach?
They have two pools, however, due to the economy, they currently have only one pool open to the public. That pool is at the West Bathhouse. I do know they are opened only until a certain period of time. It would be best for you to call 311, and ask to be transferred to customer service for Jones Beach. Ask them if the pool will still be open. They open at 10 am, however, you will want to be there at the latest 9 am, the lounge chairs go quickly, and you will be forced to camp along the floor on a towel…not much fun! So be early if you want a chair. The cost is 3 dollars for an adult, and 1 dollar for a child (up to 12 I believe).
