No. Although the book contains a phenomenal account of the life and teachings of Jesus, it is not considered a Christian doctrine. Although there are ministers and priests who have discovered the book, the Christian denominations are by and large unaware of it at this point in time. Also, it gives a brutally honest assessment of the problems of modern day Christianity and what must be done to correct them. The Urantia Book is all-encompassing because it contains information on the major world religions and their history. It states that there is truth in all religions and that each one would do well to learn from the others. The Urantia Book could be considered an extension of existing holy writings or possibly a Bible for the new millennium. This one is open to debate. There are teachings which reinforce and expand on certain Bible teachings as well as truths found in other religions.
