I wouldn’t say that the USA is reaping what it sowed. Two wrongs don’t make a right…the USA did not ever do anything that caused it to deserve what happened on 9/11. However, I will not deny that the USA should have taken a much more proactive stance against the IRA. I think that people here did not want to believe that NORAID was a terrorist organization. It wasn’t a desire to fund terrorists as much as it was an ignorance (and maybe in *some* cases a somewhat willful one at that) on the part of the American people (the public) as to what NORAID was. No more citizens of the United States would have willfully funded such a thing than citizens of Ireland would have. The few who did so knowing that it was a terrorist organization are no more a representative of the intentions of the American people than the IRA is a representative of the Irish people. That would be like saying that because *some* Irish citizens knowingly put money into the IRA, that means the Irish people who died at t
