Is there a benefit to using LED Clip Lights for tree lighting over Incandescent Mini Light Strings?
Yes. First, LED Clip Lights will save energy. An Incandescent tree lighting system that has 400 points of light will consume 172 watts, but an LED system of 400 LEDs will only consume 80 watts, which is an energy savings of 53%. Second, LEDs allow longer runs than Incandescent light strings. With a system of 400 points of light, this will require two separate runs if you go with Incandescent. However, for LED, all can be on one run.
