Is there a considerable difference in how fast people learn in private lessons vs. group lessons?
Generally speaking, students tend to learn faster when given one-on-one instruction; however, there are many people who enjoy learning with a group of peers and excel in a larger class setting. Make sure you evaluate your needs based on previous learning experiences to determine whether private lessons are right for you.
