Essie’s Story is available for loan at the East Grand Forks Campbell Library, Grand Forks Public Library, the Grand Forks Air Force Base Library and the UND Chester Fritz Library. Books are available for purchase at Barnes & Noble Bookstore, Waldenbooks and B Dalton Booksellers. The paperback book retails around $14.00 plus tax. Do I need to read Essie’s Story to attend the book discussions? You are encouraged to read Essie’s Story: The Life and Legacy of a Shoshone Teacher to enhance your understanding of the American Indian experience. However, if you do not have a chance to read the book, please consider still attending the book discussions. Last year, over 100 community members participated in each book
