Is there a county in Florida that has mountains?
No mountains, per se, but there are nice rolling hills that rise 200′ or so in some counties. Lake county (NW of Orlando) has the highest elevations on the peninsula. Polk, Hernando, Pasco, Alachua, Leon (Tallahassee), and Madison counties are pretty hilly. I believe the highest point in Florida is in Walton County (northern Panhandle, near ALA state line), and that’s 345′ above sea level. Florida being “flat” is a myth. You’ll be surprised with some of the elevation in interior sections of the state. Most visitors are.
