Is there a difference between indoor tanning and outdoor tanning?
UV light is the same whether it comes from the sun or from UV lamps. When you tan indoors, your body develops a tan the same way as when you tan outdoors. The amount of UV light received from a tanning bed is regulated and your exposure is controlled. Increasing your exposure time gradually will assure a tan to the degree desired while minimizing the chance of a sunburn.
