Yasmin currently has no generic. What makes Yasmin unique is the progestin drosprirenone and currently Bayer/Berlex holds the patent to exclusively use this progestin. Both Yasmin and Yaz contain the progestin drospirenone and there are no generics available for either. If you want a pill that has a generic, Ortho Tri Cyclen has many generic forms including Tri-Previfem, TriNessa, and TriSprintec which are extremely affordable.
