Is there a history of non-anaphylactic allergy to chicken, feathers or egg products?
Yes: Give yellow fever vaccine. Non-anaphylactic egg allergy alone is not a contraindication to immunization with yellow fever. • Does the person have a compromised immune system due to disease (including HIV infection) or due to therapy ? Yes: Do not give Yellow Fever. Consult with the MOH/designate as required. If there is a risk of exposure to a population with an ongoing epidemic, immunization may be considered. • Is the person due to receive MMR, oral typhoid or another live vaccine? Yes: Give Yellow Fever and live vaccine on the same day, or four weeks apart. Note: If the other live vaccine has already been given, ensure that four weeks have passed before the yellow fever is administered. • Is the person due to receive an inactivated vaccine?
