Is there a home remedy for a urinary tract infection?
There is no home remedy for a UTI, only ways to prevent them. To cure a UTI, you must see your physician who will prescribe an antibiotic. To prevent UTIs, as stated by other answers, drink lots of cranberry juice and/or take cranberry tablets. The tablets are sold most drugstores and are called Azo. There are 2 kinds: prevention tablets and tablets that ease the discomfort of an already existing UTI. My OB/GYN also mentioned that taking frequent hot baths with lots of bath salts, bubble bath, etc., can also make one more susceptible to UTIs. It is also recommended that you empty your bladder before and after intercourse.
