Is there a link between young kids (12 months or so) enjoying drawing and academic ability?
The only “link” I can come up with is where the kids fall in the theory of multiple intelligences. The idea here is that everyone has different aptitudes where they focus, perform, and learn the best. Some of these aptitudes streamline really well into standard education, which makes it very easy for those children to do very well in school with minimal effort. Other aptitudes, though, almost work in opposition with how schools normally work, which makes it much more difficult for those kids to preform well in school and requiring them to work harder at it.
