The swelling for Buttock Implants is minor although some individuals may have edema (fluid retention) in the tissues more than others. There is considerable trauma to the surrounding tissues and normal swelling and discoloration is normal. If you feel that your swelling is severe do not hesitate to call your surgeon or the staff member on call. The swelling associated with fat grafting can be mild to moderate, depending. Edema will be present, as will bruising so prepare yourself before hand.
