—Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon or Escalade vehicles manufactured between 1992 – 1999 A: No. Due to the sheet metal forming inside the rear cargo door, a plate cannot be bolted to the back of the door handle. Since most cargo doors have an electric lock actuator inside the cab, we recommend replacing the cargo door handle with one like the right rear passenger side door handle. This handle doesn’t have a lock cylinder, so you will then have to lock and unlock using the electric actuator only. This will require some modification of the lock rods, but it is relatively easy to do and will eliminate the possiblility of break in through the cargo door.
