Is there a special HorseSense for a Senior horse?
HorseSense is the ideal nutritional product for all horses. Traditional Senior Feeds are in a pelletted form. This pelletting process requires that ingredients are ground before being bound into the pelletted form, resulting in these products traveling through the small intestine at such a fast rate that utilization is decreased rather than increased. Protein is mostly digested in the small intestine, so protein sources are passed through to the large intestine where they cannot be utilized, which is just one reason so many senior horses suffer muscle-wasting.
