Not all of the cities and teen centers contacted were able to clearly identify operating costs particularly. (Please refer to Attachment I – Teen Center Models.) • General Observations About Local Teen Centers and Coffee Shops By far, the majority of active centers surveyed serve middle school students and first year high school students. The fact that most centers focus on the middle school age population underscores the difficulty in reaching high school age students through this approach.
