Is there a time limit on being prosecuted for car insurance fraud in the UK?

There is no Statute of Limitations in the UK. If you have committed an offence then at any time in the future you can be prosecuted for it. There are time limits on which some prosecution can be made, if you have been warned of the offence. For example if you speed and are reported, the CPS have a time limit in which to bring a charge against you. These are not Statute limitations but rules laid down by the courts.
