These systems use an RTC that SCO’s keyboard driver does not read correctly. There is a patch available for SCO UNIX 3.2 version 4.2; it is not known if the patch works on SCO OpenServer 5.0x. Other possible solutions are: • Run asktime about every 30 minutes so the operating system clock is synchronized with the hardware clock. • Cold boot repeatedly until the date command does not show time accelerating or doubling.
