Click the Start button at the corner of your windows desktop. On the pop up menu that appears, click the Run button and type cmd into the Input field of the box that opens (or command in case of Windows 98). Click OK. A black window will open up with a flashing cursor. Type ipconfig /all in this window, and press Enter. This will run the command, and text will appear underneath the command you entered. Check for the value corresponding to Default Gateway. This value is the IP address of you router. It will appear in a numeric format e.g. 111.111.1.1.
