I wouldn’t put it quite that strongly. There is definitive proof that burning fossil fuels is *a* cause of global warming. Obviously the greenhouse effect causes the planet to warm, CO2 is a greenhouse gas, and burning fossil fuels emits CO2 which has been trapped for millions of years. The atmospheric CO2 concentration has increased from 280 ppm to 380 ppm (a 37% increase) since the Industrial Revolution due entirely to humans burning fossil fuels. http://www.realclimate.org/index.php?p=8… So there is no question that our burning of fossil fuels has caused some global warming. The only question is how much. Scientists have concluded that humans have caused 80-90% of the warming over the past 30 years. http://greenhome.huddler.com/wiki/global… But there is not “definitive proof” of this, just overwhelming evidence
