Is there any difference in the approach to medical education of UCR and UCLA?

0

No, the programs are very similar. Because our UCR/UCLA program is a satellite program of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, the Liaison Council on Medical Accreditation (www.lcme.org) insists that UCR offer “comparable educational experiences and equivalent methods of evaluation” at both campuses. In 2004, UCR adopted a new integrated human disease-based curriculum based on that in place at UCLA. We work closely with the UCLA staff in designing learning experiences for our students. There are minor scheduling differences, but the overall philosophy of medical education is the same.
