The anti-spam feature is a little weak. In independent tests, the Kaspersky spam filter mislabeled 30% of legitimate email as spam, and over 30% of spam made it through the filter. Not a great track record. This feature does allow you to manually whitelist and blacklist your email, but why should you have to do the work for the software? Also, the new parental controls are basic at best. It can block URLs, blacklist inappropriate sites, and limit a child’s activity. Nothing stellar here, but off to a good start for Kaspersky. Support For support, they have an extensive library of FAQs and a live chat available on their website. Conclusion Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 is a fantastic, total protection PC application. You get excellent anti-virus, anti-phishing, anti-spyware, firewall, adequate parental controls, but less than stellar anti-spam features. All and all, aside from the anti-spam functions, Kaspersky really cut out a place for themselves at the top of the heap. *System Req
