(Female, 29) A: Benjamin Castleman was an American pathologist. Castleman’s tumours are a type of growth of white blood cells, which appear in the lymph nodes of the chest. Castleman’s tumours are extremely rare. When they do occur, the tumours are most often found in the chest. One third of them are found in other parts of the body, and they have been recorded in the tonsils. If you are concerned about a growth in your tonsils, it is unlikely to be a Castleman’s tumour, but it is important that you see a doctor.
